Joseph & Veronika’s Sedona Engagement Session | Tlaquepaque

There are some places that seem to exist purely for romance, and Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village in Sedona, Arizona is certainly one of them. Aptly named “the best of everything” in the Aztec language, Tlaquepaque was the perfect setting for Joseph and Veronika’s engagement session, creating the feeling that we had stepped into the pages of a fairytale.

From the moment they arrived, Joseph and Veronika looked every bit the part of a modern-day storybook couple. Veronika wore a breathtaking off-shoulder Arabella cream dress by Arcina Ori, paired with slingback mesh heels adorned with delicate beaded floral details. Veronika’s stunning square-cut engagement ring from Braidy Jewelers added the perfect touch of timeless elegance. Joseph complemented her perfectly in a sharp navy suit, complete with his two-tone Rolex adding a subtle touch of timeless sophistication. Together, they brought an effortlessly elegant style to the charming streets of Tlaquepaque.

Then, as if Sedona wanted to add a little extra magic to their afternoon, the rain began to fall.

Rather than interrupting the session, the sprinkle became part of the story. Joseph and Veronika cozied up beneath the village’s beautiful awnings, embracing each other while the rain softly fell around them. There was something undeniably romantic about the contrast—the warmth between the two of them against the cool, rainy backdrop of Sedona. It created those quiet, intimate moments that make engagement sessions feel less like a photoshoot and more like a glimpse into the life a couple is building together.

When the rain gave us a break, the two took off hand-in-hand through the village, turning the winding pathways of Tlaquepaque into their own little adventure. With ivy draping across stone walls, grandiose wooden doors opening into hidden corners, and the unmistakable beauty of Sedona surrounding them, nearly every step offered another picturesque backdrop.

Adding to the atmosphere was a live band playing throughout the village, giving the afternoon a soundtrack that made the entire experience feel even more cinematic. Between the music, the rain, the architecture, and the two of them completely wrapped up in each other, it was hard to imagine a better setting for Joseph and Veronika to celebrate this chapter of their relationship.

Their engagement session at Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village was filled with the kind of moments that feel both elegant and completely natural—dancing beneath awnings, laughing between photographs, running hand-in-hand through the village, and simply enjoying being together. It was a little Sedona adventure that felt perfectly suited for these soon-to-be newlyweds.

Joseph and Veronika’s session was a beautiful reminder that sometimes the most memorable photographs come from simply embracing whatever the day gives you. A little rain, a little music, a stunning setting, and two people very much in love were all it took to create something that felt like a fairytale.

Michael & Sarah’s Mountain Wedding at The Cabins on Strawberry Hill

Michael and Sarah’s wedding at The Cabins on Strawberry Hill felt like a celebration thoughtfully rooted in place, season, and personality. Tucked into the mountains and surrounded by towering pine trees, the venue created a peaceful, woodsy setting where their closest friends and family could spend the entire weekend together. With guests staying in the cabins scattered across the property, the morning unfolded slowly and comfortably — less like a formal event timeline and more like a shared retreat leading into something meaningful.

The day began with Sarah and her bridesmaids getting ready together, complete with strawberry plates and candies that hinted at a theme woven beautifully throughout the wedding. From the start, the strawberry details were intentional but never overwhelming — just small, charming touches that made the day feel cohesive and personal. Like strawberry giftbags for the bridesmaid’s, the invitations had featured strawberry wax seals, and a metal embossed strawberry plate had been used during detail photos, tying the entire design story together from start to finish.

Sarah got ready in one of the cabins with her bridesmaids while Stephanie Nault handled her hair and makeup, and Jacey Jo styled the bridesmaids’ hair. The atmosphere was relaxed, full of conversation, laughter, and anticipation. The mothers and grandmothers attending the impending nuptials popped in get their hair and makeup done as well.

Meanwhile, Michael and his groomsmen made a morning trip into the nearby town of Strawberry for breakfast before returning to get ready. Michael’s cream suit paired with a cowboy hat felt perfectly suited to the mountain setting — polished but still grounded and authentic to the environment around them.

Before the ceremony, Michael and Sarah chose to exchange private vows tucked away from their guests. These quiet moments are often some of the most emotional parts of a wedding day, and this was no exception. Standing together in the calm of the mountain air, they shared tearful promises that set the tone for everything that followed.

As guests began arriving at the ceremony site, Sarah remained hidden away. Elliot from Impact DJ’s seamlessly filled the dual role of officiant and DJ, guiding the ceremony with ease. Michael and Sarah were married with a breathtaking mountain backdrop covered in pine trees — the kind of setting that doesn’t need decoration because nature has already done the work- but The Floral Theory designed arrangements that complemented the environment perfectly! Featuring browns, soft pinks, and whites that blended beautifully with the natural woodsy surroundings. The florals enhanced the space without distracting from it, adding warmth and texture throughout the ceremony and reception.

Afterward, the newlyweds slipped into a small wooded area near the campsite for portraits. The filtered light through the trees created a quiet, intimate setting for photos. Michael carefully carried Sarah’s long dress through the forest paths, a simple gesture that reflected the steady care he showed for her all day.

The reception carried the same thoughtful personality as the rest of the wedding. Tables were named after National Parks instead of numbered, tying into the couple’s love for the outdoors. Olive-R-Twist bartended the evening with signature drinks named after the couple’s pets, while Fresh From The Kitchen served a meal that brought everyone together around the tables.

Strawberry details appeared again during dessert — a charming white heart-shaped cake adorned with strawberries, displayed on a cake table overflowing with fresh fruit, tarts, and cannoli’s.

As the evening continued with dancing and celebration, the couple was surprised with an unforgettable gift from their parents: a Subaru, perfect for future adventures together.

Michael and Sarah’s wedding was a reminder that the most memorable celebrations aren’t defined by scale or spectacle, but by intention. Every detail — from cabins filled with loved ones to strawberries thoughtfully placed throughout the day — reflected who they are and the life they’re beginning together. At The Cabins on Strawberry Hill, surrounded by mountains, pine trees, and community, their wedding felt less like a single event and more like the start of a lifelong adventure.
